I grew up in Midland Park but my parents were both from Paterson-Hawthorne so J&H's was a standard from my childhood. I loved the taste of chocolate milk with the all-the way-sauce! When my mom passed away in 2001, she was buried at Fair Lawn Cemetary so my friends and I had her "repast" at J&H's - I know she would have heartily approved (frugal Scotswoman that she was!). I expect we'll do the same when my dad (just turned 95!) passes on. I live in Warren County now - nothing even close to Texas weiner sauce here...

I was born and raised in Paterson. River St J&H was the place to be after a night of watching my parents bowl at Fairlawn Lanes. Someone said they are experiencing the DTs I understand and can relate way down here in Texas. People just don't understand a burger all the way!
J&H good to see you still makin' people crave your menu. One day I will come back and the airlines will have major issues as I try to lug all of your menu home to Texas. I am serious!!!

I'm 57. Born in Paterson. Raised in Oakland. Dad had business in Paterson. Jhonny and Hanges "all the way" dog is something I've been trying to replicate all my life. No avail! Glad they're still in the area and wish they would export their "all the way" sauce. Please!!! I'm in Oregon. Will get back there someday!

I grew up in Hawthorne NJ and Johnny and Hanges was the best sauce ever.. My Uncle worked for the railroad and would come home late at night and bring hot dogs for all of us. We were never too sleepy to eat those wonderful dogs.
I moved to Indiana in 1970 and wish we had something like your sauce here. The people here have no idea what a great hot dog tastes like.

I am originally from Hawthorne, NJ. One of the things I miss living in Colorado is Johnny & Hanges all the way hot dogs. Maybe they will open a store in Denver.

I am thrilled to see that you are opening a J & H in Wayne. I go to your Fairlawn restaurant and love it!
Wayne really needs a J & H in town.

I was born and raised in Fair Lawn. Graduated FLHS in 1970.
I have been telling everyone I know about the best hot dog I have ever eaten
for all these years. OMG - Johnny and Hanges makes the best dogs on earth.
Too bad i live in CT where they don't know the first thing about hotdogs!

I grew up in North Jersey, but now live in New Hampshire. Whenever I get the chance, I stop in at J&H. Seeing this site and the menu makes me homesick. I feel a road trip coming on! Thanks for all the yummy food and the great memories!!

without saying my actual age (old) i'll just say i'm a baby boomer. On a few rare nights that my mother was'nt home cooking a hot meal we would have the rare treat of having johnny and hanges. my parents would be hard at work in paterson. on these occasions my mom would call and say I'll bring home johnny and hanges I guess you could say i was in heaven. now nearly fifty years ago i can remember the dogs fries and choclate milk like it was yesterday, thanks for the yummy memories!
